Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra Wedding News
Another week, another Bollywood wedding rumour! This time, reigning queen of bollywood, actress Rani Mukherjee is the subject of intense speculation that she has become enagaged to director Aditya Chopra. Not a problem, you would think. Except Aditya is very recently divorced from wife Payal, and rumours suggest Rani to have been the cause of the break up! Since the marriage of Aishwarya, and Preity Zinta’s long term relationship, all eyes have been on the long single Rani - who appears was not as single as we all thought she was!
Both families have denied the rumours and stories of an engagement ceremony that is supposed to have taken place this week. In our view, in these cases, the old adage that “where there is smoke…” usually comes true in the end, and it is for the sake of preventing Rani looking like a marriage-wrecker that both families are currently denying the story.
The engagement, or ‘roka’ is reported to have taken place at the same Chopra bungalow with only a select group of family and friends in attendance including Rani’s parents Ram and Krishna Mukherjee, brother Raja and his wife. From the Chopra clan were brother Uday, dad Yash Chopra and mum Pamela Chopra.
As yet the families are keeping to the “it didn’t happen line” and the wedding couple are nowhere to be seen. Let’s see how this plays out, and if Rani’s acting future has gone up in smoke just yet or not…
